Just sayin'

It would depend on the manner of us going into game 7. If we are up 3-2 and lose game 6 AGAIN, watch out. If we are down 3-2 and come back, I think that flips the momentum on its head.

The hope I have is the Ducks did the things they needed to do to win Game 1, they just lapsed on everything else that shouldn't be a recurring problem.

Kesler vs McDavid: check

Getzlaf dominating: check

It was the stupid stuff they haven't done in a long time that cost this game.

Bad defense.

Soft GWG given up.

Depth wasn't a factor, 3rd/4th line shifts were forgettable.

Your GWG take doesnt fly in the GDT and it doesnt fly here. Bad bounce of Mansons skate isnt soft, its unlucky.

2/3 of the D was fine. 1/6 of the D was in the locker room. Lindholm sucked.

Plus their PP goal was scored on a 5 on 3 that was essentially a 5 on 2-1/2 since Getz broke his stick.

This picture and everyone else who saw it disagree. The bounce off Manson's skate shouldn't have mattered because Gibson should have been in front of the net.

Gibson was playing to the wrap around when he reacts to Larson going up te middle. No skate, no goal, no problem.

Here's how he should have been playing that sequence:

See the difference?

Fowler gets beat, and doesn't get stick on puck.  Bad.

That puck going through Gibson's CREASE back out into the SLOT.  That is his f*ing puck.  And he boned it.

He was playing the wrap around, started moving with Larson when things changed up. But thanks for the hockey for beginners picture

There was no one there for the puck to go to. Gibson was playing the threat. The threat was Larson.

I don't get why you're being snappy, the picture from l&g is a pretty good comparison because it simulates the puck being in the exact same location. Side by side with the picture I posted I don't see any room for defense of Gibson on the play. There's no reason that half of Gibson should have been outside the net with his back to the puck. It was horribly misplayed.

The deflection off the skate is a red herring. It would have bounced harmlessly into Gibson's pads/stick if he was in the right place. Even if he hadn't played the puck with his paddle so it could never reach the crease which would have been optimal, he would have at least been in the right position.

The position you're taking screams for that picture. ;)

If he's playing the wraparound, why is the post up his butt crack like a pole dancer?  Why is his left pad OUTSIDE of that left post?

Why is he not hugging the left post?  Why is his left pad not inside and up against the left post?

Why are you not stomping Private Pyle's guts out?

Because he was reacting to Larson changing it up... and holy s* nevermind. You guys want your culprit, fine, Gibsons fault. If thats the case, Bernier should be in next game right?

Changed it in a desperate attempt to shake karma up in this series. We're near the brink of doom.

What is uncomfortable about it?

There is really no blame to be placed.  They just are getting beat. No luck, no calls, no breaks, no wins.

Time to flip the script.  They have been chasing the game almost the entire first two games.

Not really; 5-on-5 we've outplayed them both games IMHO. The PK has been awful, Talbot's been amazing. Now so far, 5-on-5 hasn't been enough. We gotta stay out of the box, get the PP clicking, and find a way to shake up Talbot.

I understand what you are saying but I also tend to believe that teams create their own luck, calls, breaks and ultimately wins.

In other words, EDM has earned and deserves their 2-0 series lead IMO.
