Great first but momentum swings when you get close and don't convert. High stick no doubt

That was stupid on Kasian's part. Why would he want to give ANA an opportunity to get energized by a fight?

Game gents. Getz converts a couple of those opportunities in the first and the score is likely the opposite. Onward to game 6

worst second period ever. Can we just be consistent throughout a whole game please?

Now we need a miracle for the third period.

Valiant effort. Horrible execution.

We've seen this before; Ducks do everything right but nothing goes in. Other team scores and they lose composure. Not enough time left to get back to the game plan. Perry is useless tonight. I'd put Silf on the top line and see what happens.

Edmonton played well that period. We played okay in spurts, but seemed to have a difficult time making clean passes or getting clean scoring chances. I'm with Wigeon, not counting us out. The Oil was able to score three goals in a period. We can do the same. Need to dominate and stay out of the box.

They just got outplayed, badly, all over the ice, especially in goal in the first.

Not seeing it tonight.

Getzlaf, unfortunately, was not good tonight.

Too eager to shoot this period. Not taking the time to pass and set up the goal

How can the PP just be this much of a failure?

How can the PP just be this much of a failure?

Nothing's working tonight. They came out with a push, couldn't convert, and that has been that.

You can't come out in Game 5 of a 2-2 series after a scoreless first and give up a goal 00:15 in and then give up a 5-on-3 goal after less than 5 minutes and expect to have success.

Maybe they are doing it backwards. They always seem to win Game 5's to go up 3-2 and then lose 2 straight, so maybe they are taking a different approach......

Maybe wearing down their D will start to pay dividends in Game 6 and (hopefully) Game 7.

Just can't get the offense going.

On the other hand, been very impressed with our Dmen tonight. Namely Montour, Lindholm and Vatanen.

Our lack of cashing-in in the 1st on any PP's and the penalty shot just fed into building EDM's confidence for the 2nd.

Then our early mistakes of the 2nd cashed in by EDM took us out of our game and we haven't / couldn't recover.

Talbot the difference maker again tonight.

Gutsy move to pull Gibson with over 3 minutes left but it pays off....one down, two to go.
