I just hope we look better than the Caps.

:puke:

Well the Ducks  pulled it off.

Can you imagine what it's like around that WAS club now? There's only one old swamp rat left there to try and deal with.

Kinda gets Boudreau off the hook there a little bit, though.

Ducks will win tonight.

Bold.

Succinct.

And accurate.

Looks like Theodore never watched the 2007 Ducks OT game 5 vs. DET.

Yeah, he served up thanksgiving turkey even more efficiently than Lilja.

At least he won't have to live the worst of it down.

They played just the game they needed to!

Good call. It was the perfect game plan.

Except for that early mega bumble by Theo, we were nails.

Gibson wasn't tested too much tonight but he was absolutely stellar protecting the net after Theo's mistake.

Stoning McAlsoran in the 3rd was so key to playing to the level of his skaters. He kept what they had earned.

And staying sharp through that extended intermission for him called the 2nd period was impressive.

How bout hcrc? Calm. Calm team. Moves rakell for Richie? Plays an old fashioned 4th line? This guy was GOLD tonight.

Yeah, I'm very happy to see a team play the way he teaches it. He's proving he's adapted like he says he has, and that he knows what it takes to win when you're competing in the highest level of the game.

All Hail the Chief!

Best performance of the series. Solid hardworking tough playoff hockey. Great .... GREAT games from

Montour
Getz

I know I'm not telling anyone anything they don't already know, but Montour it's going to be a really really good player. Hell, he already is.

TOtally forgot to mention Montour and I had in my head to make a point to mention him. He played an excellent game 7.

Yeah but then you look at Anaheim who finally beats their game 7 demon, the very first year after Bruce leaves.

The monkey might have been off his shoulders for about 3 hours, but he hopped right back on.

Bruce sucks!

Gibson had an unusual game.

1st Period

Bad/unlucky goal to kick things off. Wasnt his fault, but thats the kinda goal that can f* with your head

Got caught swimming once which Vats saved him (maybe) by taking the penalty.... ( I say maybe because who the hell knows if they would have actually scored, but it was a grade A chance)

Overall... OK, not great

2nd Period

Popcorn

3rd Period

HUGE saves on multiple occasions, keeping his team alive

The D also played very well and kept a good number of shots for getting to Gibson

No doubt in my mind, the 3rd period was the best hes played all postseason. Not just from a GA standpoint, but that things he mentally had to battle throughout the game.

But you have a point!

The Ducks claimed all along that the Game 7 talk was bouncing off their leathery skin. Their ecstatic reaction indicated how much they’d bled on the inside.

“We’ve been kicked to the curb a few times,” Cogliano said. “We’ve taken a lot of heat in this room, and rightfully so. It’s a bad feeling to end your years like that. We were ready to follow the leaders who’ve experienced it, because we were sick of it. We were ready to prove the doubters wrong.”

All I'm thinking in that photo is, gosh, Vatanen is really, really tiny and Ritchie is really, really, big!

I thought Ritchie was looking over at HH with a "take that, naysayer!" grin.

I didn't want to say anything either before the start of the game nor til the end of game 7 and jinx it but believe it or not, I had a premonition that the Ducks would win and break the curse.
