“For me, it’s been pretty quick the last couple of years in learning the position defensively,” Montour said. “A couple of years ago, I was playing junior and kind of had the reins of doing whatever. College was kind of the same way. If I’m there to play offense, I’ll go, go, go.
“Coming here, Dallas and Marty really kind of picked on me about picking the right spots. And being a little smarter in that spot. Knowing when’s the right time to go. A lot of credit to them on helping me to do that, transitioning this way. I felt like it’s been good so far.”
