Great pass and Perry sneaks it through Jones.

Have to admit I'm a bit surprised.

Good start.

One thing I like about Miller is the way he plays the puck behind the net, takes that extra half second to see where he should pass the puck, he doesn't just fling it around the boards.

Friggin' Ritchie really likes the seating in the sin bin, doesn't he?

Add: He and Vermette, both.

The skaters pissed away a point, too. Wasted a great outing by their netminder with too many mistakes. How many odd man rushes do they think they can treat their opponent to and still be in the game? Getting out-shot by 20? Ridiculous.

Oh, and Ritchie and Vermette stink. They are a pair of boneheads.

Ritchie seems to be more of a liability than vermette. At least Vermette earns his keep in the face off circle. Ritchie needs a little more discipline. And skill.

One shift, Ritchie will have a good go on on the cycle, make some sold passes and lay a big hit or two.  Then the next, he'll pass it behind his teammate, get stripped do to his poor skating ability and take a STUPID penalty.

He needs to get it together.  He looks comparable to Boll right now.

If Ritchie can't step it up soon with the opportunity he currently has with our injuries, he's gonna earn the traditional stamp of disapproval:   BUST

Everyone has to play up a line or two right now. Thank God for Miller and Gibson. I mean look at the guys we had to put out there in the 3 on 3.

Big dopey guys we expect too much of look particularly out of place cough Richie cough.

Miller stole a point.

I was going to come on here last night and say "They sure pissed away that second point tonight", but I think your assessment is more accurate.

Three guys out of the lineup - Getzlaf, Kesler, and Fowler - and the difference in the team is DRASTIC.

Not saying that this wouldn't be the case with most/all teams, but they have to find a way to scratch and claw for points right now.

I just hope those guys come back 100% and ready to go and this part of the season makes them a much better team.

Imagine PIT without Crosby, Malkin, Kessel and Letang - same picture.

Yes, we need some others to step up, especially Silf and Ritchie. And yes, I want more out of Perry. But we're hanging on, and will need to for 2 more months. And Duchene's gone.

So for Grant, this is a dude I expected to play like 6 games with the Ducks and be enjoying the snacks and cocktails in the press box or in SD. Hes on our 1st line. its sad, but hes been fine... good even. crazy.

Lindholm is playing his best hockey to date. Very encouraging to see

Kase... I dont know about this kid. I want to believe hes the real deal and we got a hell of a steal but I saw too much crap from him last year to really believe it yet.

Miller/Gibson have both been awesome. Not a complaint between them.

Megna and Wagner arent doing anything I didnt expect of them. Remember, this is Wagners game. He does great for a stretch, tons of energy and plays like a pitbull and then he dies off.

Rakell has been fine. He hasnt been great but hes scoring. Hes not a team leader, hes not taking over for Getz or Perry. Same with Silfver. These guys are complimentary players who can put the team on their back here and there but they arent the super stars.

Vatanen is more of the same from last year. Ive seen some really bad positional plays from him, but hes still a top 4 guy. Trade him. Toss Ritchie in with him.

Rest of your list is about right. Those guys are doing what we expect. Bieksa has been a bit better. Beauch is always fun to have back. Manson is Manson. Perry is done as a top tier talent but still produces, kinda.

Imagine the Ducks with BTB Cups the last two years.

Yeah, I can't either.

Four out of the lineup. Eaves.

Hard to include a guy that has never stayed in the lineup consistently due to injuries.  Eaves being out for me is par for the course.

An explosion that could have been avoided had management used common sense and looked at the pattern staring them in the face.

I am waiting for Troy Terry to come aboard and bolster our shootout squad.  In the meantime I watch a lot of NBC Sports/CBS Sports to see him play for Denver.

You are talking about pretty much taking the three BEST players out of our line up.

And we somehow are still .500.

I think your list is pretty good. My take on Wagner is that he's a soild 4th line player that can play on a 3rd line if necessary, but he's real good on a 4th line. I don't have RGS' complaint about him. Kase I feel the same, he's doing all he can elevated instantly from a guy fighting for a spot to a guy on our PP unit and a guy we have to have scoring. I don't worry about Silvferberg, he's gonna get 20 goals by the time we are done, but as you say he's not gonna be a star player. Ritchie's only 21 and he does show signs of stardom every now and then.

I think it's hard to judge right now because the team is so topsy turvy. Derek Grant is a peripheral NHL player yet he's out there in 3 on 3? Everyone in the F rank except Perry and Rakell are playing UP with players on their side that are playing UP.

It's still the roster that got to the conference finals. It's a roster that, with it's best 3 players out and lots of other guys in and out as well, still competes and picks up points. I'm worried that we've had a lot of home games and been outplayed a lot and still picked up points, but we are still there .....

Healthy we will be a top tier team, I still believe that. The odds of us getting healthy in time? Getting slimmer.
