It's a close call. Like our play or not that is 2 in a row and now is the time to pick up points and we can worry or not worry about playoff seeding later. Bernier is a veteran who has played back to backs so let him go.

On the other hand we literally stole 2 points last night, we can't possibly allow Bernier to get hurt, lets take a flier on Enroth and if we lose, so what.

I'd go with Enroth. I think RC goes with Bernier.

Is the answer Jesus?

I think you're right on Carlyle's call, but I agree with you.  Enroth.

So when Bernier gets the win tonight you and I will finally know that HCRC knows more than both of us.  But not a lot more.......  :sarcasm:

Honestly, to me, this is a game where Carlyle can't make a wrong decision on starting goaltender.  People can pick it apart after the fact, but either guy is a good choice.

That guy can do b2b's without breaking a sweat!

With Enroth being such a vet, I'm sure that'll persuade RC even more.

But if I'm coach, I call Bernier into my office and tell him I'm resting him, but that I'm all ears, too. "Convince me otherwise"

If he's got fire in his belly to go again tonight, and has a good breakdown of his minutes and health this season, then I go with him.

It's hard to sit a guy who played that well.  The only question is whether you want Bernier playing 3 games in 4 nights (unless Gibson somehow would be ready for Sunday).

Bernier has been sitting a ton. When Gibson comes back, he will be back to sitting a ton. He needs to get games in. Unless he gives me a reason to not put him in, Berniers in net.

I'd put Bernier in if he says he's ready to go, I think he plays better when the pressure is on.

We have to get the points while we can, no 'we can afford to loose this one'.

LET'S GO DUCKS!

Start berns. Gibson had a groin injury. Those can come back easier than most, think multiple splits. Berns needs to be prepared for a workload if that happens. Lets see how he handles b2b. Unless you want him rested for wash. Then start ens. In fact they should start ens tonight. Nvm

Well that's great news.

Didn't Stephens quote some suit as saying Gibson wouldn't be playing on this trip?

I wish I could find such a stat but boy it sure seems that the Ducks this season, with either Gibson or Bernier in net, have given up an inordinate amount of goals on our opponents 1st shot of the game. It's uncanny.

Gibson is bad when he plays the puck,  90% of the time he flings it around the board and 90% of the time there is an opponent standing there waiting for it.

Ducks have 8 shots through the first half of regulation.

That ain't gonna cut it.

Maybe Getzlaf should take some more stoopid penalties to motivate them? ;)
