Honda Center

7 p.m. PDT

TV: PRIME

Radio: AM 830 KLAA

Tonight begins Anaheim's 13th set of back-to-back games that will conclude tomorrow in San Jose (7:30 p.m. PT). Anaheim is 9-8-7 in back-to-backs this season, including a 6-3-3 mark in the opening contest..

..

It's been over two months since the Ducks last strung together three consecutive wins (January 10-14), but they can tie their season high tonight with a victory over the struggling Sabres, who enter the game with two wins in their last 10 games (2-6-2).

>.<

The Sabres have shut out the Ducks seven times in the 33 all-time games between the clubs (Dominik Hasek-3, Martin Biron-2, Chad Johnson-1, Ryan Miller-1). This amounts to one shutout for every 4.71 meetings, the Sabres' highest shutout-to-games ratio against any NHL team.

This ratio is so much higher against the Ducks than the next closest opponent that the Ducks would have to score a goal in each of the next 26 meetings between the teams for the ratio to fall behind the next highest current ratio (Columbus, three shutouts in 25 games - 8.33 games per shutout).

Jonathan Bernier will go for his fourth consecutive victory in as many starts tonight against the Sabres.

...

If line rushes from the morning skate hold, expect to see rookie defenseman Brandon Montour draw into the lineup in place of Korbinian Holzer. Montour was a healthy scratch in Anaheim's 2-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday night and skated alongside veteran Kevin Bieksa today. Anaheim's forward line combinations remained unchanged.

Potential Line Combinations

Anaheim
Rakell-Getzlaf-Eaves
Cogliano-Kesler-Silfverberg
Ritchie-Vermette-Perry
Wagner-Thompson-Boll

Fowler-Vatanen
Lindholm-Manson
Bieksa-Montour

Bernier

Another "if they don't win this one" game.....

Like the fact that RC is leaving the lines as is, feel that the team has come together over the last 4 to 5 games.

LET'S GO DUCKS!

First line needs to quit cycling the puck and  get something set up.

Widw open, wide open net and we can't get it in.

BUF goalie is giving up some juicy rebounds, but we don't have guys at the net or even in the slot. We're too busy trying to cycle the puck around the perimeter.

ANA looks like the team that played last night. BUF looks fresher on their legs so far in this third period.

#24 team in the league that played last night, and Duck futz around letting them stay in it.

Now it's the crap shoot.

This BUF goalie is 7-2 all time in SO's.

Make that 8-2

That sucked. Stupid cycle.

Ducks need to shoot from everywhere and crash the net.

I thought they played a solid game tonight. If anything, they were trying to be too cute too often, the last pass not connecting, or whiff. Stuff happens.

I really have no complaints about the game. One horrible bounce, some odd officiating and some unlucky plays like Mansons should have been goal.
