I say retire and stay retired this time.
QUOTE
Even if Dominik Hasek wants to come back to the Ottawa Senators, the goalie might not be welcomed back. Senators coach Bryan Murray told reporters Monday that he believes it's time for the team to "move on" next season.

"I only want guys that play here," Murray told local reporters.

Hasek is getting a wee bit old at this point and seems to keep getting injured. Interesting comment by Murray about playing.

The question of whether Hasek will retire was asked to Denis Potvin today on Hockey This Morning on XM Radio. His response was "I hope so." Potvin explained himself by saying the new NHL is a game for the young, that there really isn't a place for the Haseks, the Chelioses, and the Yzermans anymore.

I think Hasek should retire, but seeing as he still seems to have some skill left, he'll probably be picked up by a team that is desparate enough. Seems like NHL goalies are like NFL kickers in that respect.

dry.gif There are stories about Murray telling Hasek he was fit enough to play in the playoffs and Hasek refusing. I guess during the regular season Hasek was set to play one game and after the warmups, he told Emery to "get ready", because he was going to have to play that game. Talk about your Prima Donnas.... blink.gif
Hasek has a real problem with his attitude and any team that hires him is just asking for grief. He isn't the man he once was.....
