QUOTE
"I bring it upon myself," Commodore says of the attention. "I enjoy it. As far as the hair and stuff goes, that was just an innocent thing that blew up in Calgary.

"When I got traded to Carolina, it wasn't 'Did you work on your feet over the summer?' and 'Are you in shape?' It was 'Are you going to grow your hair out?' I mean, I know I'm known for that and that doesn't bother me."
...
After some soul-searching, he realized he needed to play the game even while the NHL was shut down. So, Commodore swallowed his pride and put his celebrity away and sought out a spot with Lowell, the AHL affiliate shared by Calgary and Carolina. That proved to be the right move.

When he played for the Cincy MD in Cincinnati, we called him Bozo after Bozo the Clown. The Cincy MD had a bowling party for fans to 'bowl with the players', and, since Bryz was a no-show, we bowled with 'Bozo' Commodore. Nicest guy in the world!

His main weakness is that he isn't good at clearing the puck from the end boards. He just skates in with the forward chasing him and ties up the puck on the boards. Good Defensemen, aka Neids, are able to clear the puck to another teammate most of the time rather than just cause a pile-up on the end boards. Hope we can use that weakness with our aggressive forecheckers!
