that happened to me in 6th grade...anyway... too bad im going to be in Chicago for several of these games and i dont think the people i am sharing a room with will really enjoy watching hockey or that I will be in my room much as it will also be my birthday week

well i for one only have one more semester ever of that "evil" homework...unless that elusive masters starts calling my name in a few years

oh...and homework is only evil with there are better things to do which happens to be about 99% of the time

Has anyone really taken notice of how the type of game the Hurricanes play matches up to the Oilers? I'd like nothing better than to see the East Coast team win but are they physical, fast, both or something altogether different?

Oh I dont have traditional homework i just have lab hours I have to log...

and if we (students) didnt have homework to whine about we would just find something else to fill its place

Few expected either team to even have this chance when the season began. The Hurricanes had missed the playoffs for two consecutive seasons since making an unexpected run to the Cup finals in 2002, while the Sabres hadn't reached the postseason since 2001.

But with rule changes that sought to eliminate the defensive clutching and grabbing that bogged down scoring, these teams evolved into examples of what the post-lockout NHL hoped to be: fast-paced and offensive-minded in a financial framework that keeps team payrolls equitable.

The formula was enough to carry each to 52 regular-season wins - franchise records for both - and two rounds worth of playoff victories. They followed that with an intense series in which five of the first six games were decided by a goal and two that ended with power-play goals in overtime.

The Hurricanes are off to their second Stanley Cup final in four years. Game 1 against the Edmonton Oilers goes Monday night here at the loud and noisy RBC Center (CBC, 8 p.m. ET) - it will be the first time in NHL history that two former WHA clubs meet for the Stanley Cup.

Please, please, please let the 'Canes win this. I've had enough disappointment for this season - I really don't want to have to watch the dirty cheating Oilers lift the Cup. That would just be too much.

I do my homework...occasionally. I hate Biology homework, and Geometry Homework is BOOORING Atleast I do my history work! And I passed all my classes! I'm proud of myself! Especially since this year has been hell.

But ANYWAYS! LETS GO CANES!!!!
