Bring him to camp, you never know! I'd give himn another chance to prove himself. I'm sure he's grown up a bit since we last saw him.

Recently I have thought, no way do I want this guy back. But now that I think of what a turnaround AndyMac had with the new NHL I really beleive that Chistov could be a force to be reckoned with.

I think he needs another chance.

I remember in 2002-2003 when it seemed that he could barely find the net with his shots most of the time. But that same year, Pahlsson couldn't BUY a goal either.

In the NEW NHL, Sammy is flourishing and so could Stan.

It's safe to say that before I got here, a few of you would've been for trading him or just not bringing him back.

My job here is done.

I also think we should invite him to the camp and see how he does. Chistov without any work ethic sucks big time, but if Stan somehow was able to push himself, we finally had the left wing threat we've searched for. He's got great hands and skates very well, so he would do wonders in the new NHL.

Seeing as I am a fair person, I voted for "bring him to camp." He isn't going any further than that unless he can prove himself there. I am more than willing to look at him and analyze everything and make a judgement based on current information.

The worst that happens is Cheeseball gets dumped. On the other hand, if he has turned things around and is a different person and different player.....

I suffered through Cheesy for an entire season in Cincinnati. Unless he has had a frontal lobotomy or deep psychotherapy to accomplish a complete personality change, he is NOT NHL material.

He had 2 chances to prove himself that he can be a mediocre LW threat. Did he? I suppose not and why waste his cap (on the roster) while we could bring someone else from Portland or sign a valuable winger that has NHL experience unlike Stan.

Stan has NHL experience... I guess his first season as a Duck wasn't even to convince of his talent. I just say that if he takes advantage of his chance, the Ducks won't regret it.
It's a big IF, I know... but the payout would be bigger than not taking the risk.
Man I would feel really bad if we released him or traded him, and he became a huge scoring threat elsewhere.

Alexander Daigle had tons of potential and hype and never panned out. Eventually, he grew up and decided he wanted to try again in the NHL. He's not been spectacular, but he hasn't been totally worthless either. I am willing to re-evaluate in camp. Beyond that, it would have to be a superior effort. I doubt anything will change, but if it hasn't, we are no worse off than before.

And Bryzfan, you never know in Russia what they do there. He might have had a lobotomy and we didn't hear about it! wink.gif

hmm.gif Well, he was way too young the first time he was in the NHL so that doesn't count in my book. The second time, well, the whole team was tanking with the anticipation of all the changes to come so.......
One more chance I think would be smart. Look how many people felt that Teemu was all washed up and kept giving his stats for Colorado and his last season in San Jose as proof. Sometimes we don't have all the facts as to what is going on with a player.
