Philip Gogulla is staying in Germany for another year. I like him, I saw him play in the World Juniors and was impressed with him.

Who is the best player in DEL? During the olympics I thought Eduard Lewandowski was good. I wouldnt know if he is one of the top players in DEL, but his stats look pretty good.

Eddi had a great season last year. Sadly he didn't show his best Hockey during the Olympics. he is much better! I belive he could have gotten a ticket to the NHL if he could live up to his full potential when he is wearing german Jersey.

The Hannover Scorpions signed former Mighty Ducks Todd Simpson. That's a great signing for the team of Hans Zach. I think they will have a chance to win the championship, too.

I can't believe that the Freezers bribe him to break the contract.
And after that contemptuous move the Freezers are still not tired they try to get 2 players from us!
But not with us, not with the Black Wings, we will arraign Stewart and the Freezers and we will win this!

Ian Moran signed a contract in Berlin last week: http://www.germanhockey.net/item.asp?ID=84 (English article).
He only played a single game for Anaheim, but still: he is a former Duck
Two games later Moran has one assist to his name and is -1 on plus/minus. He got his assist in his first game against Ingolstadt, in which he had a +2 and -2 = 0 plus/minus rating.
Here is his profile on the Berlin website: http://www.eisbaeren.de/content/16.php?act...ail&s_id=67
The website has done a Podcast interview with Moran, which is available in MP3. It starts in German and the interviewer keeps translating, but the interview itself is in English. Close to 12Mb and runs for about 12 minutes. The interview starts within the minute, so be patient:

And finally a picture of Moran accepting his jersey:

Are they twins?
Well, both are born March 3rd in 1986 in the Canadian town of Quesnel that has a total population of 9,326 people. So, I'm going to go out on a limb and speculate - yes, they are twins...

"I warned him a long time ago (to start looking over his shoulder), ever since he beat us in Vancouver," Garrett said with a grin, referring to his team's 2-0 loss to the Giants on Nov. 18. "I told him I guess we'll have to see you in the Mem Cup."
Garrett and Brett Festerling, who turned 21 on March 3, are in their final season of junior eligibility. The brothers also share a burning desire to end their WHL careers on a high note.
