The Anaheim Ducks are looking for outgoing, energetic individuals to be a part of the 2006-07 Ducks Street Team. The Street Team is an interactive team that runs Ducks promotions and makes appearances throughout Orange County and the Inland Empire to promote the team. If you love hockey, love people and are looking for a fun and challenging opportunity than we want you to join the team.

Sounds like fun, kind of like an honorary Power Player. if I didn't have school, or lived 100 miles away, I'd be all over it

They had this at my son's school. Basically teaching the kid's how to play street hockey. They set up a mini rink just like on Family Sundays and the kids get to play. It's a nice promotion.

It sounds really cool and I was thinking of trying for it, but then I realized that you'd probably miss all the action at the home games cause you'd be too busy working to actually see the games...

2007-2008 Street Team applications being accepted

They don't say when you have to have your cover letter and resume sent in, but here's your opportunity to be a go-fer for the Ducks marketing dept. and work all the home games and various events around the Southland.

An interesting qualification that they list is ability to motivate other Street Team members. They have to cheer up each other instead of working with the crowd?

I would seriously think about this. This is so much more appealing than the powerplay girl position.
Maybe in a couple of years.

These go-fers no longer have to motivate each other, but one of the requirements is being able to lift 25 pounds. flex.gif

And I'd sure hate to have that Street Team coordinator's last name. crazy.gif

Probably doesn't pay jack. Maybe $ 8-10 an hour. Maybe if the tripled that I would go for it. Who the hell can live off 10 bucks an hour?

He actually lucked out in that family. His brothers' names are Peter, Rodney, and Richard.

Just chiming in to say that I just made the 2010-2011 Street Team. We had orientation today, and it seems like it's gonna be a lot of fun. And no, I don't have to work every home game. Pays well too.

Thanks very much! I think it will be a lot of fun. If any of you ever spot me at a home game (I work the hockey spot on all Sunday games) don't be afraid to come say hi! I'm the token Asian on the street team. smile.gif

I'm so insanely jealous, it would have been my dream job, but I didn't meet some of the requirements...
I hope you have fun! It pays pretty well, it seems. How lucky to get a job out of something you love and to get paid for it, huh? biggrin.gif
