Lupul loves being on teams that used to be good

Side note - This will be second time that Joffrey Lupul has been on the ice for a banner raising ceremony celebrating something he had nothing to do with. In the 2003-2004 season opener he was on the ice as the Ducks raised their Western Conference Championship banner - something they won without him the year before. This year, the Oilers will raise their banner and once again Loops will watch a banner reach the ceiling knowing that he had nothing to do with it whatsoever. I wonder if this will be a trend in his career?

Well he kind of had something to do with this one. He was on the losing end, but he did participate

I still like Lupul. But if he turns like the cheating oilers we know now.....boy it's going to be something.

If Joffrey starts following the Oilers ways, I'm getting a divorce

You might over-love Loops. Just a thought.
I hope he doesn't make a career out of going to a team the year after success. I'd really like for him to succeed in the NHL.

In simliar fashion I remember Petr Nedved joining the New York Rangers in the lockout-shortened 1995 season
to be on the ice for that team's Stanley Cup championship banner night and he had nothing to do with the 1994 team.
As for Joffrey Lupul? Hmmm, I wonder if he'll be traded next summer to the team that wins the 2007 title?
Time will tell!

Look at Prospal. Traded from TB to Anaheim after the SC run in 02-03. Ducks fail to make the playoffs, TB wins the SC
he gets traded back, Ducks go to the WC finals, TB falls early.

Hopefully that 2007 team will be us.

Haha I never thought of it that way. I guess he just came here for the money and all
