Safety-dance!

Ah we can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends dont dance and if they dont dance
Well theyre are no friends of mine
I say, we can go where we want to, a place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind,
And we can dance

We can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends dont dance and if they dont dance
Well theyre are no friends of mine
I say, we can go where we want to a place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind
And we can dance.

TSN's Ice Chips

QUOTE
Updated Thursday, September 21

Sens line-up for Friday's game vs Buffalo Group 1: Goalies-Emery, Guard. Lines: Vermette - Spezza - Heatley, Hamel - Kaigorodov - Eaves. Luttinen - Vesce - Fitzpatrick, Foligno - Hennessy - Heerema. Defensive pairings: Redden - Corvo, Barinka - Cook, Kudelka - Hedlund.

Senator Note: Peter Schaefer left practice early with tightness in his groin and won't play tomorrow. Daniel Alfredsson left Wednesday's game with tightness in his groin, and was in the same group but did not skate today and won't play Friday. Denis Hamel and Partick Eaves will take their spots in Friday's game.

Leafs: D Tomas Kaberle skated on his own today to test his injured groin.

D Pavel Kubina stayed off the ice today due to a hip flexor injury he suffered in Ottawa Wednesday night. Maurice says Kubina's injury is not as serious as Kaberle's.

For precautionary measures, neither defenceman will play in the Leafs' exhibition games against Montreal and Ottawa this weekend.

Paul Maurice says D Carlo Colaiacovo's evaluation by Dr. Karen Johnston on Wednesday did not reveal a connection between his disorientation and headaches to the concussion he suffered in January. However, he did not have an explanation why Carlo is experiencing headaches if they're ostensibly not post-concussion symptoms. Ferguson said basically the same thing last night. More tests are scheduled and Colaiacovo remains sidelined indefinitely.

Boston defenceman Zdeno Chara, who was injured when he blocked a shot in last night's pre-season game against Montreal, suffered only a bruise. X-rays taken on the foot this morning were negative.

A CT scan of winger Todd Bertuzzi's ribs revealed a contusion, but nothing broken.'That's good news,' Martin said. Bertuzzi could start skating again Tuesday. But the Panthers now have to worry about left-winger Ville Peltonen's left shoulder, injured in Wednesday's game. Peltonen will fly to South Florida today for further exams.

Mark Recchi suffered a facial fracture when struck by a stick in last night's game in Moncton. He is currently seeing a doctor to determine whether he will miss any time or just have to wear facial protection. Will update as info becomes available.

Miikka Kiprusoff will start in goal for the Flames tonight when they face the Edmonton Oilers.

The word from Boston has Phil Kessel turning heads early in camp. - Boston Globe

Erik Cole participated in a full-contact scrimmages without 'red-shirt.' Early reactions are positive. Cole participated as a defenceman with the injury to Frantisek Kaberle, a position Cole stated was a logical choice for him. - News Observer

Early word from the Chicago camp has Brandon Bochenski showing promise as a possible weapon in the goal-scoring department. A hole Chicago desperately needs to fill. - Chicago Sun Times

Word from New Jersey has John Madden missing the season opener, revealing he underwent hernia surgery seven weeks ago. - New York Post
