Shannon flies with the Ducks in strong bid to make NHL club
He set up a pair of goals in the Anaheim Ducks’ 6-3 home win over San Jose at the Arrowhead Pond in game No. 2 of a busy pre-season slate on Sept. 20.
And, just like last season, when Shannon, 23 of Darien, paced the Portland Pirates in points, he was named a star-of-the-game. Two assists, second star-of-the-game, in only his first time skating in the NHL. He’s got five points, including a shootout goal, in only four games. Just like with the Pirates, its a shiny point-per-contest badge pinned to Shanny’s chest.
