I think Wilson or Sutter would have been better choices for the coaching award because of what they did with what they had to work with.

I, too, hoped that Ron Wilson had won for Coach of the Year. I am, however, a huge San Jose Sharks fan, so I'm probably a little bit biased... lmao

Yes, he did. However, he had ONE more win than the next guy, and if Turco hadn't been suspended, he would have played more games. Also, Stevens went down in January, and Brodeur's win rate went down, and he had maybe 1 SO after Stevens couldn't play. See, a couple of years ago Roy did NOT get the award, and people said it was because of his great team in front of him. Well, I think zee Marty has a great defensive team in front of him. Politics rule the world, and Brodeur is beloved by the media. No problem, he can enjoy his Vezina......
