I think we should have a topic on all the active players on the Ducks roster to post information on every time a new article or story comes out on that person.

And maybe a "Questions/Suggestions" topic.

Just a couple of ideas.

Yeah, but I mean like one for every player, just like how Ahti keeps one for every team...

No, but I just thought it would be a good idea, you never know what you can dig up.

And it doesn't have to be articles about a player, it could just be observations on playing time or a line change.

Just a suggestion, not trying to revolutionize ALLDUCKS.com here.

I think we do those in Duck Rumors and Duck Lines. I see your point, but we don't need another 23 threads IMO wink.gif

I know, I'm not trying to be abrasive here ... sorry! smile.gif

And like I said, with all the news floating around about the team, especially after a great start to the season, *knock on wood*, there might be a ton of articles or things to say.

The only reason I though of all this is because I found this article on Penner, and had no place to put it...LINK>>

But there is a "Mighty Nice Penner articles" thread already!

It makes it a lot easier for the DTP to mop up after the girls ... wink.gif

LOL.

But you get my point right? I never would have known Jen posted that article. And I did do the search before I was going to post the link.

I'm just trying to keep things organized is all...

And Jennifer, I hope you start feeling better soon! smile.gif

Urgh! I wasn't the one who moved this thread! I left for a meeting and then came back and wondered what happened to it. laugh.gif

I see the point that LIU is making, but like DK, I don't want to see 20+ threads pinned so that everyone can find them. I'd prefer to just have people post the article in the AllDucks Forum and then the mods can move it into the appropriate thread if one already exists for the player. Or start combining the articles for a player when there is enough to warrant a thread.

I saw MT moved it.

And I see you guys' point, but maybe it could be a sub forum? That way it's not covering up all sorts of things, it's a totally different forum dedicated just to player talk and articles. Just something to think about is all.

hmm.gif An AllDucks Talk Subforum for Ducks players. Would there be enough interest? We've got Penner, Shannon, and Pronger threads gathering articles. And then I've been archiving articles in the Media Roundup Forum. But I think a lot player discussions also land up in the GDTs.

And do you really want to encourage our puck bunnies??? wink.gif

My point exactly, 36 pages of a GDT, if you wanted to find the littlest bit about Ryan Getzlaf's time on the ice, would you scroll through that?

Anyways, just a thought...

I wouldn't scroll ... I would use that all-powerful, extremely useful, very friendly AD board feature called search. biggrin.gif

But I read the GDTs all the way through anyway to make sure everyone's behaving. wink.gif

A subforum might not be a bad idea if people use it. But it could also become a cubbyhole that gets ignored if everyone just goes through the main AllDucks Talk forum. We barely got members trained to remember to keep the NHL and other games discussions out of our Ducks GDTs. Do you think people are going to discuss a player's game performance in the player's subforum??

Yeah, good point.

Someone should add that to the smilies! biggrin.gif

While we're on the topic of adding things to AD and all...
