Alexei Kovalev says he will test the free agent waters and will not be back with the Montreal Canadiens.

Of course, Kovalev could just be faking like he was in the playoffs....

Wouldn't that be hypocritical of the NHL to not honor the AHL suspension? Wouldn't that be saying it's not ok to attack people in the AHL, but you're welcome to do it here? Unless you're Bertuzzi?

I think the trade with kovalev was the first good trade from the montreal canadiens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
saku koivu wants the he will play for the habs next year but may be he wants to play with a russian legend like sergei fedorov????!!!!!! :bbn: excited.gif

Yes ,that would be neat to see, but unless Kovalev wants to take a severe cut in pay, I don't think he will be playing on a line with Feds.
