It's good to see Irbe move, he wasn't needed in Caroliner. They had Weekes and needed to make room for Ward coming up.

Was just reading on Metroboards that the Hurricanes are picking up most of Irbe's salary. Of his $2.7 million salary, the Blue Jackets will only have to pay $675,000.
If that's true, then the Blue Jackets got themselves a steal. And the Hurricanes really wanted to get rid of Irbe.

Okay, I'll keep the thread going. Isn't Irbes getting a little older? Gerbs is a tad younger, non? No that Irbes isn't good, but when one approaches 40, your reflexes can't be quite as good as in your thirties. Give me feedback girls....
