Updated Wednesday, November 15
Ottawa Senators:
Practice Lines on Wednesday:

Forwards:
Heatley - Spezza - Eaves
Schaefer - Vermette - Alfredsson
McAmmond - Fisher - Neil
Hamel - Kelly - McGrattan

Defence:
Phillips - Corvo
Mezsaros - Volchenkov
Schubert - Priessing
Goal: Emery

Notes: Defenceman Wade Redden (groin) skated Wednesday for the first time since Saturday's game against the Bruins. Ray Emery, who has been out with a sprained wrist for a week, will get the start in goal. The Senators are 2-4-1 against the Northeast Division and have given up at least three goals in each of their last seven games. They are 1-8 in one-goal games and 0-7 when they allow the first goal. - TSN

Toronto Maple Leafs:
Practice Lines on Wednesday:

Forwards:
Antropov - Wellwood - Ponikarovsky
Stajan - Steen - O'Neill
Battaglia - Peca - Tucker
Suglobov - Pohl - Kilger

Defence:
White - Gill
Kubina - Bell
McCabe - Kaberle

Notes: The Maple Leafs had an up-tempo practice on Wednesday since they haven't played since Saturday. 2-on-0's with plenty of hard skating. 3-on-2's with 2 sets of defencemen defending at one end then breaking out the other way and joining the rush. Goaltender Mikael Tellqvist will come off the IR after Thursday's morning skate and will back up Aubin. Mats Sundin skated on his own before Wednesday's practice. - TSN

Calgary Flames:
Practice Lines on Wednesday (Optional):

Forwards:
Tanguay - Langkow - Friesen
Huselius - Lombardi - Kobasew
Nilson - Lundmark - Amonte
Prust - Ritchie - McCarty

Defence:
Hamrlik - Phaneuf
Regehr - Warrener
Giordano - Zyuzin

Notes: Jarome Iginla, Andrew Ference and Miikka Kiprusoff did not skate in Wednesday's short practice. Most of the team is headed to the Alberta Children's hospital to face the Townsend Tigers (children that stay and go to school in the hospital) in their annual wheelchair hockey game. The Flames current 5 game win streak is in serious jepeordy as the Tigers have had their number. Calgary is 0-for-24 against the Tigers. Defenceman Mark Giordano has been sent down to the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights of the AHL. - TSN

Edmonton Oilers:
Practice Lines on Wednesday:

Forwards:
Smyth - Horcoff - Pisani
Peterson - Sykora - Hemsky
Torres - Stoll - Lupul
Thoresen - Reasoner - Winchester

Powerplay 1:
Smyth - Horcoff - Pisani - Stoll Staios
Powerplay 2
Lupul - Sykora - Hemsky - Tjarnqvist - Bergeron

Notes: Forward Raffi Torres has played less than eight minutes the past two games. Joffrey Lupul has just one point in his last seven games and is no longer on the top powerplay unit. Lupul has played less than 13 minutes the past two games and says it is the ''most frustrating time of my career.'' - TSN

Edmonton Oilers: Forward Ryan Smyth skated with his regular line in Wednesday's practice. - TSN

Montreal Canadiens: Defenseman Mathieu Dandenault is ready to return to the Montreal lineup. - Montreal Gazette

Florida Panthers: Centre Joe Nieuwendyk said he will play Thursday night against the Montreal Canadiens. - Sun-Sentinel

San Jose Sharks: Goaltender Evgeni Nabookov is probable for Wednesday's contest against Colorado. - Rocky Mountain News

Los Angeles Kings: Defenceman Oleg Tverdovsky suffered a groin strain during Monday's game. He will re-evaluated today. - Los Angeles Times

Detroit Red Wings: After missing the last two games with a concussion, winger Jason Williams may return to action Friday night in Calgary. - Detroit News

Washington Capitals: Winger Alexander Semin is not suffering any ill effects after being hit hard in Monday night's game against the Flyers. - Washington Post

Chicago Blackhawks: Goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin has recovered from the broken right finger that caused him to miss eight games, but he is not expected to start tonight's game. Winger Tony Salmelainen will return from a seperated shoulder. - Chicago Sun-Times

Columbus Blue Jackets: Left winger Jody Shelley is day-to-day after having his right pinkie finger crushed against the glass during Sunday in Chicago. - Columbus Post-Dispatch

Dallas Stars: Winger Steve Ott rode a stationary bike for the first time since fracturing his ankle on Tuesday. He should be able to return in December. - Dallas Morning News

Colorado Avalanche: Winger Wojtek Wolski was moved down to the fourth line during practice on Tuesday. - Denver Post

Anaheim Ducks: Winger Chris Kunitz has deemed himself fit to play Wednesday night against Philadelphia. He missed Sunday's game with an injured left hand. - Los Angeles Times

I was wondering the same thing. It's nights like these that build character...

Interesting info regarding Lupul, I remember a time when we couldn't realize the production from him that we so expected. Hmmmmmm

Great, San Jose is slowly creeping towards us. But I always say, focus on our game and quit watching the standings.
