Boston Bruins: Jason York, who underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Nov. 10, skated with the team Saturday morning for the first time since the procedure. - Boston Globe
Buffalo Sabres: Goalie Ryan Miller played his first game Saturday after missing five because of a muscle strain and made 37 saves. -

Detroit Red Wings: Placed D Jiri Fischer (out since last November with a heart ailment) on long-term injured reserve. The Wings were without Tomas Holmstrom and Niklas Kronwall on Saturday, both out with groin injuries. Head coach Mike Babcock said Holmstrom will be back Wednesday. Minnesota Wild: Wild assistant general manager Tom Lynn said centre Marian Gaborik resumed skating Friday with physiotherapist Rick Celebrini in Vancouver and is scheduled to return to Minnesota on Tuesday to continue strengthening on and off the ice. Derek Boogaard has an ankle injury and will not accompany the team to Ottawa and Montreal. Boogaard was hurt during a fight with Phoenix's Georges Laraques on Tuesday night. Nashville Predators: : The groin pull suffered by Scottie Upshall on Wednesday might mean Nashville needs to put him on injured reserve. Defenceman Mikko Lehtonen, who took a blow to the head from Pascal Dupuis on Wednesday, has not skated since then. Head coach Barry Trotz said Lehtonen hasn't definitively been diagnosed with a concussion, but Lehtonen was not feeling well Saturday. - Tennesseean
New York Islanders: Defenceman Chris Campoli was a healthy scratch for the third straight game Saturday since his call-up from Bridgeport. - Newsday
Pittsburgh Penguins: Pittsburgh promoted RW Ronald Petrovicky from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL. He made his season debut Saturday after missing 18 games because of hip surgery. Forward Ryan Malone, out since Oct. 21 with a broken left forearm, hopes to have his cast removed Monday. Malone still must rehabilitate his wrist and regain his strength, so he isn't expected to resume playing until at least the first week in December. - Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
San Jose Sharks: The Sharks recalled goalie Thomas Greiss from Fresno of the ECHL as a precaution because Evgeni Nabokov is nursing a sore hand. - San Jose Mercury News
Tampa Bay Lightning: An MRI Thursday revealed that Lightning captain Tim Taylor sustained a cervical spine contusion on a hit during Wednesday's game against Montreal. He is listed as day-to-day. - Tampa Tribune

It became an exciting time for our team. That was the exciting part of it for me. Actually scoring a goal, individually, that was fine and dandy.
