TORONTO -- Washington forward Donald Brashear was suspended for three games by the NHL on Thursday, stemming from a fight a day earlier between the Capitals and Atlanta Thrashers.

Brashear, teammate Brian Sutherby and Atlanta forward Scott Mellanby were automatically suspended one game while coaches Glen Hanlon of the Capitals and Bob Hartley of the Thrashers were fined $30,000 and $10,000, respectively.

Thats absolute BS what he did to Vish! Brashear dropped his gloves and started pounding away at Vish before Vish had even dropped his stick. He didn't want to fight, and in turn, Brashear aparently broke his nose. I was SO pissed about it mad.gif mad.gif

Yeah, it was bad. It was the game they showed on five over here in the UK, and my housemates were asking if that usually happened at the end of games when teams are losing. I replied that it was not usual, but I could cite some other cases if they wanted to watch them on YouTube (Ducks-Flames included!).
