probably softer and more flexible...if i had a guesss......also probably will allow for more air to get into the jersey, i can say first hand that it gets hot in equipment.

Why the surprise over this? It's been on the horizon for quite some time, we started talking about it at least nine months ago (the GM meeting during the Olympics). uhm.gif

It'll prolly be more absorbent, pulling sweat away from the athlete's bodies and tighter fitting. I have a feeling I'm not gunna like em dry.gif tongue.gif

They're pretty ugly....form fitting like football jerseys and the socks are just WRONG! dry.gif

I guess the players' union didn't protest the change after they used the new uniforms in the Olympics ... <link to photo>

LOL it looks WEIRD. I guess we'll get used to it...but its so form fitting like the women's jerseys! When Aeryn said they looked like football jerseys I kind of got excited because those look hot...but these just look silly. It's form fitting in a bad way wink.gif

OMG, It looks like someone trying to put on their little brother's jersey, and the socks look like soccer socks. STOP CHANGING EVERYTHING! It's hideous! Hockey jerseys are supposed to be baggy! How are the goalies supposed to get them on!? How are they supposed to move!?

Didn't Team Canada wear these in the Olympics?

There not too bad, though it does mess with tradition. As I get older I start to realize tradition will get messed with whether one likes it or not. As long as the logo stays and colors I'll be okay and still wear my new one that I JUST GOT!

I actually own one of those. They're amazingly light, but they are just too tight. The fabric's okay, if you ignore the tightness.

Screw that! I'm fat. Last thing I need is a tight jersey. Better hurry up and buy one of the current ones.

I'm not buying a new jersey just because it's a different style either...

You're not alone there mate, I don't like the sound of form fitting shirts either. dry.gif

It will be quite strange to see the players wear these uniforms next year.

I'm not really a fan of this idea. I just want a new Ducks jersey not have to buy another one next year.

im not really "fat" but in not wearing ANYTHING that could be considered "tight" i fell for that in the '80s and let me say... it's just not comfortable.

I will be buying a jersey this year and i guess it will be the last one i ever buy sad.gif

my one question is this, tere is a rule that a team has to stick with only home and away jerseys for 2 years after a logo/color change... so how does the league handle this?

Do all teams lose their 3rd(4th) jerseys?
do the ducks get to have a 3rd?

Should the fans do what the Sabres fans did for their new look? I think so...
