In the past, I could select text in the message composition window and apply formatting. But now, clicking on the formatting buttons brings up a dialog box to "Enter the text to be formatted {b}XXX{/b}"

What's up? Is the select-and-format method gone for good? sad.gif

That happened to me for a while about a month ago, but it's all good now... hmm.gif

hmm.gif Only started happening to me within the last week or so and it kinda came and went over the weekend (some posts it worked, some it didn't).

DK, did you do anything to fix it or did it go away on it's own?

It went away on its own.

Nope, sorry Aeryn. It appears to be working fine for me in my Firefox v2 browser. What have you done to anger the online formatting bots??

[whine]
I don't know
[/whine]

It was acting up before I made my crack about engineers. wink.gif

I'm also using FFv2 and, AFAIK, I haven't made any modifications recently to account for the trouble. sad.gif

EDIT: But it works fine in MSIE eyebrow.gif

Okay, the problem seems to have been tied to my FF cookies.txt file hmm.gif

All better....for now biggrin.gif

EDIT: Cleaning my cookies with Ace Utilities didn't fix the problem, I had to physically delete the cookies file. Just an FYI in case anyone else has the problem.

So what kind of crumbs were you dropping in your cookies file to spazz out your formatting??

Seems odd that the cookies file would have something to do with it though, doesn't it? hmm.gif
