In the past, I could select text in the message composition window and apply formatting. But now, clicking on the formatting buttons brings up a dialog box to "Enter the text to be formatted {b}XXX{/b}"

DK, did you do anything to fix it or did it go away on it's own?

I don't know

It was acting up before I made my crack about engineers.
I'm also using FFv2 and, AFAIK, I haven't made any modifications recently to account for the trouble.
EDIT: But it works fine in MSIE

Okay, the problem seems to have been tied to my FF cookies.txt file
All better....for now
EDIT: Cleaning my cookies with Ace Utilities didn't fix the problem, I had to physically delete the cookies file. Just an FYI in case anyone else has the problem.

So what kind of crumbs were you dropping in your cookies file to spazz out your formatting??

Seems odd that the cookies file would have something to do with it though, doesn't it?
