Hi guys,

I didn't see a topic on Ex-Ducks and hatred-figure No. 1, Jeff Friesen in here.
Look at his stats in Calgary, he only got 1 freaking assists in 20 games. He's basically useless to every team right now.
I can hear him calling it quits after this season if he doesn't get things turned around soon.

And think he (+ Shields) were the one(s) we gave up Teemu for!!! He was supposed to "last longer" as a young kid...

I read somewhere that he has had a whopping 4 goals scored since the lockout ended. That's it. Yes, he's had injury problems, but still....

seems he peaked with New Jersey and it's been crap ever since.

I do think so. No goals this season, only one lousy point and that was recorded in the second game of the season in early October, lol.

Jeff Friesen, Flames: Once upon a time, he could be depended on for 20-odd goals and 50-something points. But since the lockout ended, Friesen's fairytale career has started to smell an awful lot like pumpkin. Last season, he set career worsts in assists (seven) and points (11) with Washington and Anaheim; this season, he's goalless and the not-so-proud owner of one measly point in 19 games with Calgary. Injuries to his groin and thigh have also hurt his speed. Thankfully for the Flames, he only signed a one-year contract last summer.

Which may be all for the best, because although Friesen has impressed his coach in training camp, Todd McLellan is not ready to declare the comeback a success.

"He did nothing to hurt himself," McLellan said of Friesen's performance in Thursday's exhibition opener, a 6-4 loss to the Ducks in Anaheim. "But did he climb the ladder to the top? No, he didn't do that either."
