He cites philosophical differences with Granato.
I can understand the "differences" he would have with Granato,
because Granato was annoying the hell out of me during the playoffs.
He really pissed me off when he sat Teemu out for that one game.
Why would anyone sit out a guy like Teemu? especially during the
playoffs? I don't know, just my opinion.
Good luck to Tocchet finding another coaching job.

:beat: Izzy, Izzy Izzy. I keep telling everyone, better to be pi$$ed off, than pi$$ed on!!!
Granato and Teemu played on the same Sharks team......Granato was just a "grinder, tough guy"...Teemu the "star".....why do you think he sat him out??? Because he COULD!!! Ah! Power!!!!

Well, I personally thought and still do think that having two "green" coaches running a team like the Avs (I know most of you can't stand them and are gleeful when they lose) is ridiculous. Whatever the "reasons" are, I think it is better. Personally, I think Granato shouldn't be the coach for that team, but he is a "son" to Lacroix, so he stays. Really anyway other team would have kicked his buttski out the door after two utterly dismal early exits in the playoffs. Only once in their history (in COLO) had they left the playoffs prior to making round 3.

I remember before he got the job in Colorado, he said he had wanted to work for Keenan. So he may end up down in Florida.

:beat: Makes more sense going to work for Keenan, with him, he can learn. Keenan knows every trick in the book and then some.
Baltic, that is one handsome cat you have as your avatar, now if he could only stop drooling in my lap and trying to use the keyboard......

I'ts funny what power does to a person....Granato sits Selanne cause he could...that is just WRONG!!! Not that I wanted the Avs to win but Selanne is a proven player and works awful hard out there.
