Anaheim Ducks: Backup goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov is back in Anaheim nursing his sore groin, but he could join the team on the second part of their five-game trip next week. The Ducks recalled winger Shawn Thornton from the minors. - LA Times
Atlanta Thrashers: Defenceman Garnet Exelby, who has missed 10 games with mononucleosis, has returned to the team's practice facility and said if he passes a blood test on Tuesday could return to skating next week. - Atlanta Journal Constitution
Vancouver Canucks: Lost C Tommi Santala for three weeks to a sprained knee late in the first period. They have recalled Lee Goren from Manitoba of the AHL for their game Saturday night in Calgary. - Herald-Sun
Chicago Blackhawks: Rene Bourque went through a full workout as he continues his recovery from a severe neck laceration. Coach Denis Savard said Bourque is a week away from returning to the lineup. - Chicago Sun Times

Florida Panthers: Todd Bertuzzi was cleared to begin skating Dec. 5 as part of his rehabilitation process. Martin said right winger Juraj Kolnick will not make the trip to New York to face the Islanders today and Rangers on Sunday. Kolnick has a pulled groin. - Sun Sentinel
Los Angeles Kings: Oleg Tverdovsky, out with a groin injury, practiced with the team Friday, but said he was still not close to being ready to play. Goaltender Mathieu Garon (groin) is unavailable until next week. - LA Times
Minnesota Wild: F Pavol Demitra (concussion) is expected to return. RW Marian Gaborik (groin), C Wes Walz (hip), D Kurtis Foster (throat) and C Jason Morgan (thigh) are out. - Star Tribune
Nashville Predators: Jason Arnott, who underwent knee surgery for a torn meniscus cartilage Nov. 22, has already started skating on his own and Predators Coach Barry Trotz said there's a chance he could return to the lineup on Tuesday or Thursday for home games against Edmonton and Ottawa. Vokoun had thumb surgery on Nov. 27, is scheduled to resume skating on Monday and hopes to be fitted soon with a cast that will allow him to grip a hockey stick. Legwand might return from what the team has called a hand injury by Tuesday, and says Sullivan right now is questionable for Tuesday and probable for Thursday. Philadelphia Flyers: The Flyers remained without Peter Forsberg, back from a trip to Arizona seeking a brace or boot to support the right ankle ligaments that otherwise make his foot curl inward. He's expected to miss the next four Flyers games, and his career is in jeopardy. - New York Post
Lost Sami Kapanen for the game, and maybe longer with what a team spokesman called a "lower body injury". However, a locker room source said it was a hip flexor injury suffered some time during the second period and that Kapanen would be re-evaluated today. - Delaware County Times
Pittsburgh Penguins: Defenceman Rob Scuderi, who missed the game against the Rangers because of illness, told team officials he is feeling better, but still had to abandon his plan to join his teammates here. He hopes to meet up with them tomorrow in Washington. - Post Gazette
San Jose Sharks: The Sharks activated defenceman Doug Murray (respiratory problem) from injured reserve. D Kyle McLaren (leg) is questionable. F Mark Smith (ankle) and LW Ryane Clowe (groin) are on injured reserve. LW Ville Nieminen (lower body) missed practice Friday to undergo an MRI exam. - Mercury News
Washington Capitals: Defenceman Jamie Heward (facial lacerations) and right wing Richard Zednik (groin) were the medical scratches. Heward is skating by himself but there is no indication when either will be back in action. - Washington Times

Ozolinsh a healthy scratch again, now I can just enjoy the game without having to stress about the boy.
Emery is at it again, clearing his crease of interlopers..just love it.
