Ottawa Senators:
Projected lineup vs. Detroit:
Forwards:
Heatley - Spezza - Kelly
Eaves - Vermette - McAmmond
Schaefer - Fisher - Neil
Hamel - Hennessey - Payer
Defence:
Corvo - Volchenkov
Meszaros - Phillips
Schubert - Preissing
Goal:
Emery
Notes: The Senators called up forward Josh Hennessy from Binghamton of the AHL. He replaces Brian McGrattan in Tuesday night's game against Detroit. McGrattan suffered a hand injury in Columbus on Sunday. Daniel Alfredsson skated Tuesday but is still day to day with hip injury. - TSN
Calgary Flames:
Projected lineup vs. Minnesota:
Forwards:
Tanguay - Langkow - Iginla
Huselius - Lombardi - Kobasew
Friesen - Ritchie - Amonte
Maki - Lundmark - McCarty
Defence:
Hamrlik - Phaneuf
Ro. Regehr - Ri. Regehr
Giordano - Ference
Goal:
Kiprusoff
Notes: Forward Tomi Maki will be making his NHL debut tonight. He has six points in 21 games with Omaha of the AHL. Andrei Zyuzin (groin), Rhett Warrener (leg), and Stephane Yelle (ankle) are all out of the lineup. - TSN
Montreal Canadiens: Head coach Guy Carbonneau saw all of his players out on the ice for practice on Tuesday, including Monday's absentees Sheldon Souray, Steve Begin and Francis Bouillon. Chris Higgins was also present as was call-up Maxim Lapierre. Carbonneau doesn't think Souray will play Tuesday night, but Bouillon is good to go. Steve Begin will be a game time decision. If Begin is a scratch, Lapierre will likely step into his spot. Montreal's first three forward lines will stay intact, while the fourth line will consist of Begin or Maxim Lapierre, Garth Murray, and Aaron Downey. Mark Streit will join Craig Rivet back on defence. David Aebischer starts in goal. For Boston, Tim Thomas didn't practice Tuesday morning but will likely be in goal tonight. Yan Stastny replaces Phil Kessel in the lineup. - TSN
Toronto Maple Leafs: Jean-Sebastien Aubin will get the start in goal when the Toronto Maple Leafs host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night. Defenceman Carlo Colaiacovo will be in the lineup in place of Brendan Bell. - TSN
Atlanta Thrashers: Forward Brad Larsen suffered what coach Bob Hartley called an "upper body" injury during one of his final shifts on Saturday and did not practice on Monday, nor did centre Steve Rucchin nor winder Scott Mellanby. Hartley said only "a miracle" could put Larsen back in the lineup for Wednesday's game against Anaheim. Hartley said the Thrashers had no plans to call any players up from Chicago (AHL). If Mellanby, who is ill, cannot play, the Thrashers would have to. Hartley expects Rucchin to play on Wednesday. - Atlanta Journal Constitution
Boston Bruins: Forward P.J. Axelsson (bruised left foot) did not travel with the team to Montreal for Tuesday night's game and will not play. Six defencemen traveled Monday to Montreal. Based on Monday's practice pairings, Zdeno Chara will skate with Andrew Alberts, Paul Mara with Brad Stuart, and Jason York with Milan Jurcina. Yan Stastny, promoted from Providence, will slot into Phil Kessel's centre spot on the fourth line between Stanislav Chistov and Jeff Hoggan. - Boston Globe
Chicago Blackhawks: Forward Radim Vrbata is expected to return from an injured wrist on Tuesday versus the St. Louis Blues. Coach Denis Savard expects winger Rene Bourque and defenceman Adrian Aucoin back in the lineup as early as this weekend, with Bourque a possibility for Thursday when the Hawks play host to Detroit. Bourque has been out since Nov. 12 with a severe cut on his neck. Aucoin has been out since Nov. 24 with a groin injury. Savard wouldn't commit to using Bondra Tuesday night in St. Louis. - Chicago Sun-Times/Chicago Tribune
Colorado Avalanche: Defenceman Jordan Leopold was seen on crutches as he headed in to the x-ray room at the Pepsi Center. The Avalanche said that Leopold injured his groin. Also, forward Marek Svatos missed his first game on Monday against the Hurricanes due to an illness. Milan Hejduk sat out, following what the team called a "nose procedure" after being hit in the face Saturday in Los Angeles. He is expected to play Wednesday against St. Louis. - Denver Post/Rocky Mountain News
Dallas Stars: Centre Eric Lindros (foot) winger Brenden Morrow (groin) and forward Antti Miettinen (groin) will return tonight against Columbus. Centre Mike Modano (groin/hip) is doubtful. - Dallas Morning News
Minnesota Wild: Centre Wes Walz (hip), out since Nov. 20, practiced in Calgary on Monday and will be a game-time decision. Marian Gaborik (groin) and Kurtis Foster (throat) are still out. - Minnesota Star Tribune/Pioneer Press
Nashville Predators: Centres Steve Sullivan and David Legwand practiced Monday, and coach Barry Trotz said both are likely to play when the Predators face the Edmonton Oilers. Jason Arnott practiced Monday for the first time since undergoing knee surgery Nov. 22 and will be re-evaluated after the morning skate. It will be Arnott's call as to whether he plays Tuesday night. Goalie Tomas Vokoun was expected to be back skating Monday, but Trotz said the timetable is now Wednesday or Thursday. Vokoun had thumb surgery on Nov. 27. - The Tennessean
New Jersey Devils: Defenceman Brian Rafalski missed practice to rest, but he will be in the lineup Tuesday when the Devils play the Buffalo Sabres. - Star Ledger
Pittsburgh Penguins: Left winger John LeClair has informed the Pittsburgh Penguins that he won't accept an assignment to their minor-league team in Wilkes-Barre. That leaves three possibilities: a suspension; retirement; or another team. - Pittsburgh Post Gazette
Minnesota Wild: Placed winger Mattias Weinhandl on re-entry waivers. - TSN

"He addressed about six different things," team president John Davidson said Tuesday. "It was 100 mph. It was fast. It was organized. They didn't even stop for a water break, I don't think."
