Detroit Red Wings: Defenceman Niklas Kronwall (groin) and forward Johan Franzen (left knee) didn't play Tuesday, but should be ready for Thursday's game in Chicago. - Detroit News
Dallas Stars: Stars center Mike Modano missed his fourth consecutive game with a hip injury. He didn't skate Tuesday morning and is still day-to-day, coach Dave Tippett said. Modano sat out along with healthy scratches Mathias Tjarnqvist and Jaroslav Modry. - Fort Worth Star Telegram
Colorado Avalanche: Forward Milan Hejduk missed Monday night's game after undergoing surgery earlier in the day to replace skin around his nose. Florida Panthers: Forward Juraj Kolnik is still a week or so away from being in the Panthers' lineup. Coach Jacques Martin said that Kolnik aggravated his groin injury at practice and he will not accompany the team on their three-day road trip. He has missed 11 games. Todd Bertuzzi said Tuesday his surgically repaired back isn't healing as quickly as he had hoped. Nashville Predators: The Nashville Predators have told rookie forward Alexander Radulov that he can move out of his hotel and start looking for permanent housing in Nashville. Radulov will be in Nashville to stay this season. - The Tennessean
New York Rangers: Jed Ortmeyer was sent to Hartford to play at least three AHL games through Sunday in preparation for a return to the Rangers soon after. Ortmeyer, who was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism in August, could agree to a two-week conditioning stint in Hartford after this initial six-day period ends. - New York Daily News
