COLD-FX NHL ALL-STAR FAN BALLOTING

PRESENTED BY 2K SPORTS SWEEPSTAKES

OFFICIAL RULES

3. Winner Selection: Winners will be selected in a random drawing in New York, New York on or about January 3, 2007 at approximately 1:00 p.m. from all eligible entries received. Decisions of the judges are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. By participating, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these official rules and the judges’ decisions. Winners will be notified by e-mail, telephone or text message, depending on method of entry. hmm.gif If an entrant selected in the drawing is a resident of Canada, to be declared a winner, he/she must correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by telephone or email. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, and if a potential winner is a resident of Canada and the skill-testing question administered, within three (3) days he/she will be disqualified and the prize may be awarded to an alternate entrant. hmm.gif

Does anybody know why Canadians have to answer a mathematical question? Seems really odd to me..

I'm more interested in how they're going to monitor that the entrant is not using assistance.

I'm just happy that I'm not from Canada.. I'd be really disappointed if I won and got it wrong..

I guess they figure by making it a time limited question.. you won't have time to go get a calculator..

it's a law in canada... you can't just win stuff in a sweepstakes... something about luck vs. skill

interesting.. thanks ... for clearing that up for me... So that stupid little bobblehead shuffle to win a chance to win a honda ridgeline would be a no-go in Canada.. too bad that isn't the law here...

Yes, that stupid bobble head ridgeline game annoys me very much. Especially when there are only 3 videos cycling through, and you know the result before the shuffle because of the placement of where the puck starts. At games, I would yell out the right answer right when they show the puck initially.

I'd rather they just stick to the on ice contest like they did in the past.. either shoot pucks in the net or to knock over targets.. or shoot tshirts into the back of the pickup.. and how in the world do they pick the trivia contestants??

If a hockey puck leaves Toronto at 8:45am traveling west at a speed of 50km per hour and another puck leaves Vancouver at 3:00pm traveling east at a speed of 85km per hour, what is the wind chill in Edmonton ?
