It was a fun game. And fun night, despite of losing.

I was at the game with my kids, 2 sons of my friends and my wife.

We got to the arena - the practice one, the game was held in early. I was with my son Christopher-Kullervo & my daughter Laura Marie, 2 boys Karl and Helar. We went to the cofee place. The president of the club Mr. Toomas "Tom" Ristlaan had a birthday. Me and kids got a piece of b-day cake. And we saw the coaches of Jokerit.

Jokerit was a small dissapointment. They were supposed to come with the A-team (Jani Rita & Co), but played loads of juniors. Team Estonia had also mainly young kids in line up, so actually the game was fun.

Then arrived my wife Maarja. It was first ever live hockey game (she has been seeing many many practices of Christopher) was present. She liked it a lot, but did not get the final score right. She missed the 3rd goal of Jokerit (29 sec before the end) and thought it was a tie...

Team Estonia had a flying start, but could not capitalize long 5 on 3 PP (1.44). First 2 goals of Jokerit were from the same kind of mistake of goalie Terentjev - going down too early... Estonian goals werereally beauties, scored from in front of the net up - both. Estonians managed to put one more behind Finnish goalie, but it was clearly hit with a high stick.

Finns got tired in the middle of the 2nd period, but ... then our boys took too many stupid penalties. Finns had a couple of 5 on 3-s, but PK was tremmendous. Fantastic. Titarenko (not famous Joey, but Vassili) had 1 on 1 run with Jokerit goalie, but huge save kept the score...

Rematch tonight!

Thanks for sharing Ahti! It looks like everyone enjoyed themselves, despite your team's loss. Hopefully this will be only the first of many upper level (can't say professional yet, right?) games that you and your family attend and enjoy together!!
