After 10 seasons with the Ottawa Senators, Radek Bonk's days with the only NHL club he ever played for are over.
Senators general manager John Muckler parted ways with the veteran centre, trading him to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for the 77th overall pick in the NHL Draft.
The Kings then flipped Bonk and goaltender Cristobal Huet to the Montreal Canadiens for goaltender Mathieu Garon and a third round pick.
Bonk can become a restricted free agent July 1, and requires a $3.5-million US qualifying offer to retain his rights.

Garon should be the Kings number one goalie over “Sketch”-monick.

Um no, actually they traded a 3rd to Ott for Bonk and then traded Bonk and Huet for Garon and a third. So, they lost a 3rd and Huet and gained Garon and a third. See what I was getting at? Sorry it confused you.

The Kings needed a goalie, and they got a good one, but with Palffy, Stumpel, Robitaille, Allison and Deadmarsh all about to walk, I think they needed Bonk more.
