So which goalie will be the next to go, Osgood or Cloutier?
P.S. Ottawa now going for a goalie duo of old skool style masks :tu:

And Rick Di Pietro will turn the Osgood back-up? I don't think so. Rick is a young goalie and a better one for the future. So if Osgood will be the Islanders back-up, we have the same situation here. Then, he can stay with Lalime, in my opinion.
Anyway, I hope all the best for Lalime in St.Louis because is a great goalie, only a bit unlucky.

Also a few words from the reporter in the latter half of the article on other trades, including the Havelid deal.

Don't you think Kings management and fans are kicking themselves? While they had Ottawa on the phone, they could have gotten Lalime for just a fourth round pick in 2005. Forget Montreal, they could have gotten Bonk and Lalime for a third and a fourth round pick!

I agree SC the Kings must be kicking themselves...Bonk and Lalime that would have been a coup for them. I'm glad they never got the opportunity.

Say what you will about Lalime choking, but he would have been better than Cloutier. Arg.

I read somewhere that Vancouver was going to make Cloutier a qualifying offer... LA Times on Saturday or Sunday maybe? Anyone else read that?

It sure seems like that but with no new CBA in place this is a very strange off season. Many teams are dumping salary either to lower payroll (Ducks) or to make room for a free agent (Ottawa - Hasek).
Too bad he didn't go to the Avs - I was looking forward to seeing Francaise in a Lalime jersey
