________
...
"It was a very effective game by Sean, and he's been like that since we got him," Ranger coach Tom Renney said of Avery, who had four shots on goal and five hits on the night. "He's a valuable addition to our hockey club. In many ways, he's a Ranger."
...
Avery accused Brodeur of diving when he shoved him, but said he expects to be penalized in those situations.
"No one will ever say it because it's me, but ... either I'm Superman or -- it's pretty obvious," he said. "I don't complain about that stuff. I know what I bring -- I know I'm never going to get the benefit of that, so, fine. I've accepted that."
