lol_1.gif Just wanted to see if you were paying attention. Seriously, I was up LATE last night grading papers, so no...

Sharks need to lose, but I do want Detroit to win, so they can win their division. Better Red (Wings) than Trash (okay, so I thrashed the old saying, but you know what I mean wink.gif ).

Updates for Wednesday, February 21, 2007

Chris Higgins injured his shoulder in Tuesday's win over the Washington Capitals. It is not known yet how serious the injury is. The team plans to play rookie goaltender Jaroslav Halak against the Predators on Wednesday. - TSN

The Latest on the Maple Leafs
Darcy Tucker is expected to take a light skate on Thursday to test his injured foot. This skate will be brief, but will determine his ability to participate in weekend practices in a very limited capacity. If Tucker fares well on the weekend, his recovery will be further tested on Monday and Tuesday in a more intense practice atmosphere before he amps it up the point of targeting the first weekend in March as a realistic point of return.

An MRI revealed centre Todd Marchant suffered a strained stomach muscle and it could be a while before he is able to practice. - Los Angeles Times

The Latest from Buffalo
Buffalo's injury woes continued on Tuesday when Daniel Paille broke his finger. He is expected to miss 2-3 weeks. General Manager Darcy Regier has changed his stance and is considering moving backup goaltender Martin Biron. ''We were leaning toward keeping Marty, but things have changed,'' Regier said. The Sabres are fighting off injuries and might move Biron to clear cap space. - Democrat and Chronicle/Buffalo News

The Latest from Dallas
Eric Lindros (lower body injury) could skate on Wednesday and may be able to play Friday against the Ducks. Winger Brenden Morrow, who has been out nearly two months with severed tendons in his right wrist, skated Monday for the first time since his injury. He is scheduled to return on March 21. - Dallas Morning News

GRRR, when I first checked the scores on NHL, it said Caps won! WTH? Check out Yahoo sports, caption says Cap's Pettinger had GW shootout goal, yet to the right shows Sharks won:
