They are desperately advertising to DUCK FANS.

With the season beginning to wind down and only eight (8) Home Games left, now is the perfect time to organize your group outing to a Los Angeles Kings game. As your dedicated representative, I am here to answer any questions you have and assist in organizing your event with us. Whether it's a fun evening with friends and family, a church gathering, or a business get together, a night here at STAPLES Center always assures a memorable time.

Below are the remaining home games. Please let me know if there is any information I can get you for planning an outing for your group.

Thursday, March 1st vs. Anaheim Ducks
Saturday, March 3rd vs. Nashville Predators
Monday, March 12th vs. Edmonton (Super Saver Discount)
Thursday, March 15th vs. Chicago Blackhawks
Saturday, March 17th vs. Columbus Blue Jackets (Kings Hat Give Away)
Wednesday, March 21st vs. Dallas Stars (Luc Robitaille Mini Jersey Give Away)
Thursday, March 29th vs. Vancouver Canucks (Jewish Community Night Featuring Free Pre-Game Concert)
Saturday, April 7th vs. Phoenix Coyotes (Fan Appreciate Day...Final Game of the Season)

Sincerely,

I pulled thecontact information off because I was unsure of whether that would be the right thing to do, pending staff approval I could put those up if wanted. The above game was actually bolded in the email, which was my primary indicator that they are definitely advertising to Duck fans. That's pretty bad right? I wish I could take them up on the offer but tomorrow night is out of the question for a trip to Staples unless I can join in a carpool AND if my work schedule permits.

This is actually quite funny, I wonder if they got a list from the Ducks or if they are checking the email addresses of Message board users or what. This could be rather entertaining. It could also be just this one representative.

Any thoughts?

I still can't get past the fact that they think a Kings game is a great idea for a "church gathering?!?!?!?" Not exactly the wholesome atmosphere I'd envision.....

There's nothing holy about the Staples Center, it's the damn morgue for crying out loud!

I have to say though... I've been to the past few games at Staples, and all have been sold out. And they've been pretty true sellouts, not many empty seats. Hey, a hockey fan is a hockey fan -- I love the game far before any one team.

No wonder they're trying to drum up bodies. Only 8 home sellouts so far this season for the LA team ... they had 20 home sellouts at this point last season.
