The Latest on the Maple Leafs Projected Lines vs. Washington
Kyle Wellwood took part in his first morning skate since undergoing sports hernia surgery six weeks ago and says he should be ready to play by next Tuesday.
Maurice says he will play Tucker a little more in the early going to guage how many minutes he is ready to handle, mixing and matching Tucker and Antropov on Sundin's RW. After that Tucker will settle into a line with Battaglia and Pohl.
Maurice reports no further negative or ominous signs in Tomas Kaberle's recovery. However, he likened Kaberle's first few days as driving from Oakville to Etobicoke in 20 minutes, then getting bogged down on the Gardiner because ice is falling from the CN Tower. You just can't predict what'll happen down the road. - TSN

Around The League:

The Latest from Chicago
Jason Williams broke his left big toe blocking a shot on Sunday and is day-to-day. If the swelling goes down and Williams can deal with the pain and put a skate on, he might return as soon as Saturday at Phoenix. To replace Williams, the Hawks recalled 20-year-old center Dave Bolland from Norfolk. - Daily Herald Times

The Latest from Columbus
Coach Ken Hitchcock said yesterday that Adam Foote will be off his feet for a week and then be re-evaluated. The team is still sticking to a two-to-four week prognosis. Hitchcock also said center Alexander Svitov (minor concussion) will be out Wednesday but should return to practice Thursday and might play over the weekend. - Columbus Dispatch

The Wings called up right wing Darryl Bootland from Grand Rapids on Monday. - Detroit Free Press

Pens comeback from being 3 down as late as halfway through the 3rd period to win in a shootout 5-4. Anyone who listened in to this game wishes Jordan Staal was on their Penalty Kill. Of course i'd rather have Erik Christensen, because with him on our roster we'd do way better in shootouts. Crosby plays terrible for the entire 65 minutes until he schools Emery to earn the 2 points.
