QUOTE
A four-legged duck is set to become a media star after overcoming its deformity.

Stumpy was born on February 7 at the Warrawee Duck Farm in the New Forest, Hampshire, to the great surprise of owner Nicky Janaway.

The rare deformity has left the bird with two legs behind the two he runs about on.

If we ever lose our legs and energy come playoff time, we can always do as this one does and grow a couple of extra legs biggrin.gif or we could just sign the other stumpy again laugh.gif

I know I posted this before with a picture of the duck hmm.gif . The search engine is being goofy, so I'll rest my bots and let DTP's do the work...

Geez ... did you ever think that you have to be nice to the search engine instead of calling it names??

My bots tracked your stumpy duck photo down in this thread.

I find it odd that they call a duck with extra legs stumpy. Shouldn't that be a nickname for a duck missing a leg? Either way, one of the best ducks we ever had in the playoffs was Stumpy, so I consider this good luck.

Oh now that's gonna win you a lot of search hits with the engine. crazy.gif

And my bots reply that you're quite welcome ... although now they're quite leery of your arm's reach.

Update on Stumpy!

QUOTE
Stumpy, a three-legged duck, is photographed from below standing on a plate of glass at Warrawee Duck Farm near Southampton in southern England April 17, 2007. Stumpy was born with four legs, but now only has three after one of his spare legs was amputated after he caught it in a fence.

And he lives on with only two legs ...

QUOTE
But now the 14-month-old drake has become a regular two-legged duck after his third leg turned black and fell off.

The only remaining clues to his former condition are two small stumps.

And is making a contribution to human DNA research!

QUOTE
Researchers hope tests on Stumpy could unveil secrets about genetic mutations in humans.

Stumpy was born at the Warrawee Duck Farm, in the New Forest, Hampshire, in 2007 with four legs, with the extra two tucked behind the two he walks on.

Stumpy.

What an eerily accurate nickname now.

When I first saw this thread I read it as "Four-legged duck stomps owner" and was like, wow that is pretty sad to be stomped on by a four-legged duck.
