QUOTE
From the moment he set foot in the Lakehead Thunderwolves dressing room in January 2007, Jordan Smith has earned the respect of his teammates.

On Wednesday, to the surprise of few, Smith’s efforts were rewarded when he was handed the captaincy of the team, taking over from Andrew Brown, whose five-year tenure with the team came to an abrupt end when the Wolves were ousted from the Cavendish University Cup.
...
"He’s got that commitment to winning, he’s got the work ethic. He commands respect as soon as you meet him. The players just have so much confidence in him and I’m sure he’s quite capable of leading us this year," Scherban said.
...
"Like I said before, I’m going to challenge my teammates more. Obviously there’s going to be a role change increase there, but again, I’m really not going to change much. I play the game the way I play, and that’s that," said Smith, who had six assists in 22 OUA contest last year.
