I make this public appeal after spending a huge chunk of my day off scanning through the internet for awesome pictures of our ducks and one thing on message boards, including here, has especially bothered me today.

If someone posts a picture, along with text, please do not quote the entirety of that person's post when responding to it. It adds to thread clutter and makes it a nuisance to scour through the image. For example, In the NHL Awards show thread someone posts a handful of nice pictures of Sammy P, Pronger, and Scotty, but within one or two posts afterwards we have another user quoting the exact same picture, meaning the thread becomes that much longer with three additional giant pictures and only one short snippet of text. Another forum I am registered on specifically bans this practice.

It's a courtesy to readers, and it is really easy and takes little time to simply remove the image from the quote.

Go Ducks!
