For anyone interested, ESPN.com's Bill Simmons did a draft blog for his Page 2 article. Includes the usual cheap shot at the lack of interest in the U.S., but overall strong stuff. Funny parts & a good knock on Gary Bettman (side note, how is Gary Bettman so oblivious to the fact that no one likes him?). This is probably my favorite line, talking about #1 pick Patrick Kane......

I'm not kidding -- he actually looks like an altar boy. I hope his tremendous upside potential involves puberty.

YES! I love Bill Simmons' stuff.
Its good to see that ESPN is kinda paying attention to us.

I really want to have the NHL back on ESPN. The NHL would grow more if it was on ESPN than on Versus. Not only is ESPN more available, It self advertises the crap out of its programming. I dont know how many times during the week I hear about their Nascar race on saturday and sunday night baseball.

ah well

hahaha omg my favorite quote
QUOTE
The Kings reached for defenceman (that's Canadian for defenseman) Thomas Hickey at No. 4, which is apparently the equivalent of the Grizzlies taking Big Baby Davis or Josh McRoberts at No. 4 in Thursday's NBA draft. Everyone's shocked -- Hickey was ranked anywhere from 13th to 40th on the various draft lists. That leads to Kings exec Dean Lombardi's admitting to TSN's crew that they tried to trade down and failed.

(Los Angeles Kings hockey ... feel the excitement!)

The feel the excitement is a signature quote of his to ridicule stupid moves by organizations.
Really a great read
