VANCOUVER — Two men — one of them a San Jose Sharks draft pick — are lucky to be alive after their plane crashed south of Port McNeill on Vancouver Island, Saturday, killing the pilot.
The three men were heading to the Merritt Mountain Music Festival, west of Kelowna, when their Cessna 172 private airplane went down 24 kilometres southeast of Port McNeill near Mt. Kinman, at the South end of Nimpkish Lake.
