Things you don't expect to find on a hockey blog, but Kukla's Corner referenced this one. http://www.ok-magazine.com/latest_news_det....php?newsId=598

Apparently Avery and Cuthbert have broken up. So what does Avery do? Hits on Paris Hilton, who refused to have anything to do with him! tongue.gif

Why she stayed with him for that long is beyond me..... rolleyes.gif

And yes, obviously this must be a slow news day.

Yes, maybe Cuthbert will move to someone else on the Kings, Or maybe she'll get smart and date a Duck. A Duck Fan perhaps...

you know, when I first heard his nick was Puppy,I immediately flashed on a puddle on the floor, chewed tablelegs and a rolled up newspaper!! how very appropriate!! IfI were ever to meet him while holding a paper, my first instinct would be to roll it up and say, "This is for Jiggy!!"

NHL looking into Sean Avery allegation
QUOTE
The NHL is investigating an on-ice incident involving abrasive New York Rangers forward Sean Avery, according to the Canadian Press.

Avery, 27, shoved Jason Blake and got into a heated exchange with Darcy Tucker during the pre-game warmup prior to Saturday's 3-2 shootout victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre.
...
Avery allegedly irked Tucker by saying something inappropriate to Blake, who revealed Oct. 8 that he is suffering from a rare but treatable form of leukemia (chronic myelogenous).
...
Avery is well known for his on-ice antics, including an alleged racial slur directed at Georges Laraque, who is black, making derogatory comments about French-Canadian defenceman Denis Gauthier, and becoming the first player in NHL history to be fined for diving during a game on Nov. 1, 2005.

I just can't believe that Avery would do something like that rolleyes.gif

And we have threads for all those stories too laugh.gif

Avery is a jerk thread...
Avery: Dirtiest Player in NHL
Guerin and Avery
Avery gets bulldozed
Avery benched for being a jerk
Avery calls Kariya a diver (Ok, he was right this time laugh.gif)
Avery fined for ... diving
Avery calls Laraque a monkey (allegedly)
Edmonton files complaint against Avery
Avery bad mouths French-Canadians
More priceless stuff from Avery

...and probably some that I missed.

I just finished watching "Rocket" this weekend. It's the story of Rocket Richard. In the film Avery plays a tough named Dill who went after Richard, calling him "pea soup" and other more derogatory French-Canadian names. As the film was made a couple of years ago, I am wondering if maybe Avery was going over his lines for the movie one day and whoever overheard him got all offended...?

.........No. Probably not. It was just Avery being Avery........ biggrin.gif

PS: He should definitely stick to hockey. biggrin.gif

Avery denies making comments to Blake
QUOTE
New York Rangers' forward Sean Avery met with NHL officials on Tuesday and denied making controversial comments attributed to him by a Toronto radio station regarding Jason Blake's battle with cancer during a pre-game skirmish in Saturday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Just as he denied calling Laraque a monkey, etc. I'd say too many hits to the head, but that would mean Avery would have to fight wink.gif

Fine Expected for Rangers' Avery

he New York Post reported today that Avery tossed two water bottles from the penalty box in frustration, just missing three kids in the crowd, and soaking some people after one of the bottles smashed against a wall.

There aren't too many narcissistic punks in the NHL, thankfully. Too bad the league leader is on the biggest hockey stage in the US.

The NHL should have made him stay in LA... 'twas a perfect fit.

Sean Avery in hooker's black book
QUOTE
Rangers hockey star Sean Avery's name and private cell phone number are in the little black book of Manhattan madam Kristin Davis.

Avery, 27, a trash-talking enforcer who has dated a string of models and actresses, is listed as a $500 client of brothel Maison de L'Amour.

"I've known this kid since he was about 16 years old. Once a jerk, always a jerk. You can't blame the referee, because ... he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Could you believe what you were seeing? We actually had a discussion about it over in this thread. I wish it was here on this thread because I don't think the issue has run it's course yet, and we will revisit it so we can all agree in harmony as we always do. wink.gif
