Do not think there is room for 31st team... Only chance is if some team will move. Pittsburgh? Do not think so. Wich one then?

Pittsburgh were going to move. Last May they said that they would move to Connecticut
:beat:
:beat: and sell the team to us, but I think the deal went dead.

I lived in Kansas City, Missouri for three years and it is a great town!!! Great nightlife, awesome restaurants. They're very loyal to their sports teams, especially the NFL Chiefs.
They used to have a hockey team called the Blades. Before that there were the Scouts which, of course, are now the NJDevils.
However, given the conditions of the NHL right now, I don't know if it would be such a good idea to add more teams.

There won't be a 31st team. Hells bells. The league can barely keep their head above water with the 30 teams. But I agree with another post here. A team may relocate.

The Kansas City Scouts only lasted for two years, then moved to Colorado as the Colorado Rockies for six years, then they became the New Jersey Devils.
My point: Do the Scouts really count? I mean they only lasted for two seasons.

You party boy DK?? Is that how you know about the night life in KC??? :sleaze:
Anyways, the people there are also very loyal to those players who have played in their town. The Blades were the Sharks first farm team. Ozolinsh and Irbe both played for them and I use to run into Kansas City folk who were still keeping an eye on those players who passed through the Blades on the way to the NHL. Many seem quite proud of the boys who made it to the NHL.

the city is also looking for a nba team. i dont think a nhl team belongs there. they had a nhl team for two yrs and look what happened. secondly they did a poll earlier in the year and the people of the city said they would rather have had a WNBA team than a NHL team. that is sad. :td: thumbs down on a team going there. portland would get a team before they do.
