I just thought this was an amusing article about what happens when a team from Florida goes to play in Alaska.

QUOTE
For the Florida Everblades, it's normally sunny days and wearing flip-flops and shorts to Germain Arena, not temperatures in the mid-30s, snow showers and battling moose for room on the highway. But that's exactly what the ECHL team is experiencing this week after making a historic trip to Anchorage to play the Alaska Aces. The teams play three games starting Friday.

Everblades' Trip Is One For Record Books

And another interesting quote:
QUOTE
The Blades should cover their heads when Alaska scores its first goal. Fans throw fish heads, often 50-pound king salmon, onto the ice after every Ace goal.
Hmmm...this wasn't stared by a certain former Portland fan...was it Jason??? biggrin.gif

Fish heads???! sick.gif I would've thought they'd save those to throw at their opposition.

And I see they specifically said "this continent" for longest distance traveled to play a game. Not only is that quite a distance, but quite a climate difference! cold.gif vs cool.gif

Oh and Jason's "platform" reference in the other thread is explained fully here: <link>

You see ... you have to swing by here a little more often! nono.gif

Well I'm back from the platform and my second rig...I've been on the Grayling and the Monopod so far. As to whether I may have started the whole fish head throwing stuff well I will not confirm nor deny such allegations....but to be honest I have yet to see a live Aces game....but that will be remedied very soon.. ots.gif
