“Phil has been a tremendous public address announcer for the Ducks for the last 11 years, presiding over almost 500 games and a Stanley Cup Championship,” said Anaheim Ducks Executive Vice President/COO Tim Ryan. “We wish him the very best and continued success at KFWB.” LINK

Damn... I'm going going to miss his goal calls at the Pond (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Best wishes Phil...

Maybe the snide remarks about the Honda promotion got him the hook.

AUGH! Noooooooo! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/crybaby.gif)

Sigh ...

Best wishes at KFWB Phil. It just won't be the same hearing you announce there and not at the Ponda too.

Welcome back Mike Carlucci. You have a really big microphone to carry.

You don't realize how good he was until you start listening to the new guy. Hulett was outstanding.

The new guy is actually the old guy--that's why he was sounding familiar to me. With that said, I'm gonna miss Phil. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/crybaby.gif) He did a great job, and Carlucci has some big shoes to fill.

Dammit....Phil was literally my hero when I was growing up(I still am but I can say that right?). I loved his calls and I always dreamed about being the PA announcer at the Pond. I now announce radio for my high school and used to do PA, so he truly did inspire me. You will be missed Phil.

Carlucci seemed a little rusty tonight. I do like that he announces all the penalties.

I definitely do remember the sound though.

Strange coincidence; I had a dream last night about Phil going over to announce for another NHL team (forgot which team... might be Vancouver or Calgary)...

Best wishes to Phil.
