I hate to say it, but Detroit over Minny might be preferable, the Wings are winning their division almost no matter what while we will be jockeying with teams like Minnesota down the stretch.

If we get to place where we can comfortably talk about playoff possibilities, the entire west might do well to take heed that Detroit is looking pretty strong and not looking to let up anytime soon.

But then, who has beaten them in the PO twice when matched up???

Why wouldn't Hasek get a tripping penalty for that?

He was. It's listed as Drake's penalty for some reason (Drake served it, but it should still be listed as Hasek's.)

From the recap:

QUOTE
Hasek even was assessed a tripping penalty with 2:19 left.

...
3rd Period Penalties
17:41 Drake, D. : Tripping - 2 min

<Link>

IMO, he should've been also assessed a charging penalty of some kind for coming out of the crease like a bat out of hell. But maybe I'm biased.

Good. That was an extremely reckless play by Hasek that could have ended Gaborik's career had he fallen on his head mad.gif
