I've been calling and e-mailing Cox to try to get the NHL Network picked up in OC (apparently, it's on in SD).

Their response is basically: "flood us with requests."

Here is the link:
Cox feedback

Here is their full response:

QUOTE
Thank you for your email.

Your request for (NHL Network) has been submitted to our Marketing
department. Our Marketing department keeps track of all channels
requested by our customers. We use that list in our consideration for
adding new channels, usually in the fall each year.

Your voice matters and does play a part in our decision making. We
encourage you to mention this to others who share an interest in the
same channels. They can either email or call us and we will forward
their requests to our Marketing department. Of course this will not
guarantee the channel will be added, as there are many considerations,
but your feedback is very important to us.

We are always actively negotiating contracts for new channels, and this
applies to HD channels as well. Unfortunately until a contract is signed
and agreed upon we have no way of knowing when a channel will be
launched.

I am sorry that you never received a response on your last email.
Unfortunately, I am not sure what happened with that email.

We hope that we have been able to provide you with the information you
requested. If we have not, or if we can be of any additional service to
you, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

Sincerely,
Jay

Thank you all for the support. There's power in numbers.

Good luck to Toddrick, too. I'd change the thread title, if I could to add TW.

Just found the NHL Network on Cox on 333 (digital). I know it wasn't there two or three weeks ago, because I called and threatened to pull the plug and go to satellite.

It's also in HD on Cox 761. clapping.gif

MtyDuxGrl and I noticed both channels this morning, along with a couple of other new HD channels. This is awesome!

I know there is already a thread about this. i looked for it for a bit and couldnt find it and i couldnt find it using the search (because im to dumb to figure out how to use it) so anyone who is able to merge this in the right thread i appreciate it...

{Moderator merge: You're welcome ... wink.gif }

anyways, i have talked to time warner cable about this for the last 8 months about if and when they will carry it and i finally got an answer.... it depends on the actual area you are in but most will fall into this first catagory. it will be available as of JULY 9th 2008 clapping.gif along with some other new channels. if not in your area on the 8th it will be made available at the latest by feb. 2009. check out there web page to see where your area falls in at... I was also told it will be avail. in HD as well as VS/GOLF HD.... hope that answers some question some have.

*thanks for moving this...im not very bright when it come to using search's*

I noticed it sometime during the middle of the playoffs on COX and I love the NHL HD channel on 733. They've played a few of the Ducks first round playoff games against Minnesota and the Lord Stanley's Summer special from last season.

Time Warner Cable adds 4 HD channels but cuts two others

The service will add four new HD channels by May 27. Those are:

1. FOX Sports West HD, channel 463, will include Los Angeles Lakers, Angels and Los Angeles Kings games, plus PAC-10 football and basketball games.
2. FSN Prime Ticket HD, on Channel 464, will include Los Angeles Clippers, Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Dodgers games, plus UCLA and USC sporting events.
3. Crime & Investigation HD, Channel 420, is A&E Television’s channel dedicated crime and mystery. Programs will include “Headline Crime,” “The Big House,” and “With Malice.”
4. KPXN (ION) HD, Channel 410, will feature older TV shows including “NCIS,” “Boston Legal,” “ER,” M*A*S*H” and “The Drew Carey Show.”
