Okay we do this on a regular basis on THF and I thought I'd start a thread on here for it to find out if there is any albums that we can recommend to each other and to learn more about my friends musical tastes.

I'm not feeling too good just now, I didn't get to sleep til 5 am and I have to go to work soon blink.gif so I've chucked on some cheery funky tunes to make me smile.

At the moment I'm listening to Manu Chao........Esperanza

also in the stereo is
Manu Chao........Clandestino
Paul Simon........Rhythm of the Saints (re-released version)

What are you guys listening to?

Don't worry Ducksfan2035 I'm not keen on the Darkness either so you're not alone.

I'm listening to Placebo just now (Sleeping with Ghosts) I love the bonus cd that came with this album smile.gif . They're version of Running Up That Hill is class. When this cd finishes I'll be moving on to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Favourite tunes on By The Way are the title track, Cabron and The Zephyr Song.

Talk about soothing, I'm listening to Tony Bennett singing Fly Me to the Moon just now and it's just perfect yes.gif It's late in the evening and I'm a bit fuzzy but Tony just makes everything seem so much better. Aaahh I like him wub.gif

I hate silence in my house so I always have some music on but when I'm not feeling too good there is a few of my favourites that I always put on the help me relax. Another good thing is comedy tapes, I've found that a chuckle or two makes you forget about the bad things. Laughter is a great medicine though the pills do help wacko.gif

innocent.gif Right now it's afternoon here and I'm listeing to REM. We returned from Baltics visit to our local quack. He had prescribed some medication for her when I wasn't with her and it turned out it had sulfa in it. She is very sensetive to anything with sulfa and so she had a reaction to it.

The quack had the nerve to say he thought it shouldn't cause her any problems, why he prescribed it for "many" of his patients who are sensetive to sulfa and they never had any problems......his staff also had not reported to him that the last time when they drew blood Baltic had passed out, then they let her drive home!!! Eeeeeeeekkkkkkk.....

REM is very good for this type of stress....it fits with crazy people and this crazy life..hehehehe :tu:

hmm.gif No, Ahti. We learned about them from a teenager that e-mails Baltic from Latvia and he sent us a sample of their music and of another group Z-Scars.
Is the name you are thinking about Prata Vetra??? That is Brainstorms Latvian name.

clap.gif I also misspoke. I do have their music in both Latvian and English. I'm trying to re-learn my Latvian from so many years ago. I was a bad girl and just wanted to speak English, now I wish I had kept my Latvian, so now I use the music as a means of renewing my ties to the old country!!!

That's the name of the song Veca rolleyes.gif Don't worry you're not going blind smile.gif

I'm on a cd called Romantic Callas which is a collection of Maria Callas arias just now, Craig isn't a fan of Opera so to be nice I usually listen to them when he's at work.

Listening to a gem of an album at the moment smile.gif . Tony Bennett on Holiday is pure class, it's crammed full of Tony's intrepretation of 18 songs that Billie Holiday made popular. It even has a Tony and Billie duet (God Bless the Child) which is wonderful. I was really lucky as I found it in a second hand music shop for £3.99 as I had thought I was going to have to buy it off of Amazon for nearly £10.

That man is just amazing  And I believe his voice gets better with every passing year. yes.gif *swoons*
